I have now re-started this blog post 3 times because although I am perfectly happy sharing my day to day struggles with an Eating Disorder with strangers on the internet, putting it out there where people actually know me, feels really scary.

Like many mental health conditions, Eating Disorders can thrive off shame, secrecy, and personal stigma, and it was shame that kept me silent when I was struggling the most. So, it’s time to speak up.

An Eating Disorder is a mental health condition where you use the control of food to cope with feelings and other situations. Unhealthy eating behaviours may include eating too much or too little or worrying about your weight or body shape.
