Statistics from the Department of Education document: Bullying in England, April 2013 to March 2018. Analysis on 10 to 15 year olds from the ONS Crime Survey for England and Wales.
In the year ending March 2018, 7% of children said that they had experienced cyberbullying. There has been no significant change in this figure from previous years (see fig.1).
In the year ending March 2018, girls were more likely than boys to have experienced cyberbullying (9% compared to 5%) – this is a statistically significant difference. Similar patterns were seen in previous years (see fig.2)
Experience of cyberbullying did not vary significantly by age (see fig.3).
