People are enjoying on average 30-40 minutes’ more sleep on week days as they work from home.

The world is finally getting the right amount of sleep thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, a British scientist has said, after data showed people across the globe had been able to stay in bed for an extra hour.
Academic research using figures from Sleep as Android, a sleep-tracking app, found users had woken up much later on average after March 2020 than they did last year, while their bedtimes did not significantly change.
Malcolm von Schantz, a professor of chronobiology at the University of Surrey, said the numbers suggested the advent of Covid-19 had restored people’s average rest to its natural level.
The Sunday Telegraph’s own analysis of Sleep as Android’s data echoed some of those findings, showing UK users enjoyed around 30-40 minutes’ extra lie-in on weekdays following the imposition of lockdown measures.
