One of the most moving stories from lockdown is that of the Assistant Headteacher in Grimsby who walked 5 miles every day, lugging a heavy rucksack packed with books and sandwiches to ensure that the most vulnerable children in his school weren’t just up to date with work, but wouldn’t go hungry. In his school, four out of ten of the 300 pupils live in deprivation.
